Pirum welcomes Bentley
17 September 2025 UK

Pirum has selected Richard Bentley as non-executive director and chairman of the board of directors.
Bentley brings 25 years of experience in B2B software development and product management for capital markets clients, and scaling successful software companies.
Prior to his move to Pirum, Bentley was previously chief product and engineering officer at Adenza (formerly Calypso and AxiomSL, now part of Nasdaq).
In addition to executive roles at Ullink/Itiviti (now Broadridge), he was also a member of the founding team of next-generation trading strategy management technologies provider Apama (now a part of Software AG).
Commenting on his appointment, Bentley states: I am delighted to join Pirum on its journey to automate and connect the securities finance ecosystem.
I am also looking forward to working alongside the other board members, including Rupert Perry, co-founder of Pirum, and Donal Smith, non-executive director.
Their continued contribution and long-term vision remain a great asset to the firm. Having helped scale other similarly transformative B2B software companies, I am excited to play a role in helping Pirums leadership team reach and surpass its objectives.
Discussing Bentleys new position, Ben Challice, CEO at Pirum, comments: His success in driving successful product companies in complex and highly regulated industries is a perfect fit for Pirum.
Richards experience and insight will be of huge benefit to the team, as we embark on our next phase of growth.
