Sanaa Clausse BenAbdelhadi is the Senior Director and Head of Business Development for Membership and Events Sponsorship at the International Capital Market Association (ICMA). She holds global responsibility for driving membership growth, engagement, and retention, while also securing sponsorships across ICMA's event portfolio.
A key focus of her executive mandate is spearheading ICMA’s strategic initiatives and engagement across the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region. This involves leading commercial activity and, critically, cultivating robust collaborations with regulators, policy-makers, and regional trade associations to advance local capital market development.
Ms. Clausse BenAbdelhadi is a regular speaker on panels focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and is a strong proponent of social mobility within the financial industry. She is also an active and committed member of the ICMA Women's Network since its inception.
Since joining ICMA in 2010, she has been instrumental in promoting ICMA's mission across new global markets. Prior to her current role, she served as an Equity Sales Executive at Markit (now S&P Global Market Intelligence). She began her career in 2005 as a Sales Executive for Acxiom, a pioneer in data-driven marketing, operating out of the firm's European offices in Paris and London.
She holds a Master’s degree in Langues Étrangères Appliquées (Business Management in Foreign Languages – French, English, and Spanish) with a major in Corporate Communications from the Université Paris IV Sorbonne. She further completed a Master Grandes Écoles, specialising in Sales, Marketing & Corporate Communications, from NEOMA Business School in Reims, France.
