Members of the European Central 网爆吃瓜 Depositories Association (ECSDA) have re-elected Mathias Papenfu脽 of Clearstream as chairman.
Representatives of 41 central securities depositories (CSDs) gathered for the election during the ordinary general meeting on 20 May held at KDPW鈥檚 headquarters in Warsaw.
Papenfu脽 will continue to be supported by two vice chairs Brigitte Daurelle of Euroclear and Gy枚rgy Dud谩s of KELER.
Georg Zinner of OeKB CSD was also re-elected as treasurer of the association.
Papenfu脽 commented on his re-election: 鈥淚 expect the next three years to witness an unprecedented level of harmonisation of CSD activities, as well as stronger competition within Europe.鈥�
He added: 鈥淓ach CSD will face its own specific challenges, but as an industry association ECSDA can play a key role in ensuring that the new rules of the game are applied consistently and meaningfully across national markets.鈥�
