The International Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Lending Association (ISLA) has secured a senior European Central Bank (ECB) representative as a keynote speaker for its 26th Annual Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Finance and Collateral Management Conference in June.
The Deutsche Börse Global Funding and Financing Summit held earlier this year also featured ECB speakers, including board member Yves Mersch, underlining the increasing role that central banks are playing in the oversight of financial markets.
The addition of central bank and regulator speakers has been widely praised for enabling a two-way dialogue on industry challenges.
This year’s ISLA conference , which will be held in Berlin’s Ritz Carlton Hotel, focuses on five key market topics: collateral management; conduct and accountability; regulations; key market developments and dynamics; and the German market and economy.
ISLA has also added educational sessions to this year's conference, as well as a daily newsletter, run in partnership with Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Lending Times, which will include conference news and commentary, as well as interviews with delegates and speakers.
