Euroclear UK and Ireland has named Christopher Elms, who has over 23 years of experience at the company, as interim CEO.

Elms will replace John Trundle who is retiring from the company after seven years at the helm.

He will cover the period between Trundle’s departure and the new CEO’s commencement.

Meanwhile, Elms and the leadership team will ensure that Euroclear UK and Ireland progresses its strategic priorities while the search for a permanent replacement is finalised.

Euroclear Group CEO, Lieve Mostrey, said: "I would like to thank John Trundle for his leadership and all that he has accomplished as CEO of Euroclear UK & Ireland.â€

“He has steered the company through many market and regulatory changes as well as making great strategic and operational progress during his tenure. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
