The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) has promoted Hamad AlThumairi to head of securities lending.
Based in Riyadh, he has worked at the bank for over three years, having most recently held the position of associate investment specialist.
AlThumairi’s industry experience includes market analysis, investment operations, and specialised exposure through the BNP Paribas investment training programme in Paris.
Prior to joining SAMA, he held an analyst position at Northern Trust and also completed an internship with the Capital Market Authority (CMA).
AlThumairi holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from King Saud University, as well as a general securities qualification (CME - 1) from his time with the CMA.
