MUFG Investor Services has appointed Eugene Tanner as head of the Global Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Lending Solutions (GSLS) trading desk.

Based in New York, Tanner will report locally to Anthony Toscano, head of North American GSLS at MUFG Investor Services, and globally to Paul Collard, global head of trading, GSLS, at MUFG Investor Services.

Prior to this role, Tanner worked at Deutsche Bank for almost a decade, holding the position of director of rates and mortgage-backed securities derivative trading.

He has also worked at Merrill Lynch as vice president and market risk manager (non-linerar US$ rates), and as assistant vice president and trader assistant (US$ exotic rates).

Commenting on the appointment, Toscano states: “I have known Eugene professionally for many years and have always admired the way he approaches markets, risk, and relationships.

"He combines deep expertise with integrity, and a true team-first mentality.

"We are excited to welcome him back to a business that, in many ways, comes full circle from where his career first began. Eugene’s experience, leadership, and enthusiasm will be a tremendous asset to our clients and our GSLS team."

Collard adds: "He brings sound judgment and a strong risk mindset that aligns perfectly with our culture.

"We are delighted to welcome him to the team and confident he will play an important role in the continued growth of our global trading platform.â€

Tanner holds a bachelor of science in finance and management from Manhattan University.
