Societe Generale Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Services (SGSS) has appointed Mathieu Maurier as chief business officer, SGSS, and Thibaid de Luze as country head of SGSS Luxembourg.
Maurier brings over 30 years of experience in the securities services industry, having joined Societe Generale in 1994 and holding several senior management positions throughout his time within the firm.
Most recently Maurier was country head for SGSS Luxembourg in 2018, and also became SGSS regional head for Ireland and Germany in 2024.
Based in Paris, Maurier will retain his responsibilities as regional head for Ireland and Germany alongside his new role, says the firm.
de Luze succeeds Maurier as the country head of Luxembourg, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the field, with recognised expertise in banking operations, post-trade services, and business transformation.
Joining Societe Generale’s corporate and investment bank in 2007, de Luze was most recently the global head of cash clearing and settlement for SGSS, having been appointed the role in 2019.
Based in Luxembourg, de Luze will be responsible for further strengthening SGSS’s position in the country beginning 2 October, according to the firm.
