Cboe Europe appoints Hackett
12 September 2025 UK

Cboe Europe has appointed Emily Hackett as director of European cash equity sales.
In her new role, Hackett will be responsible for growing adoption of Cboe Europe’s equity trading services across a portfolio of UK-based clients.
Based in London, she will report to Jerry Avenell, head of sales for European cash equities.
Hackett joins the firm from Goldman Sachs, where she most recently served as chief operating officer and head of Sigma-X MTF, the company’s London-based cash equities trading venue.
Prior to her position at Goldman Sachs, Hacket worked at NEX as EBS business development manager for spot currencies and precious metals.
Commenting on Hackett’s appointment, Avenell states: “ [Emily’s] extensive industry experience will be invaluable as we continue to deliver exceptional client service, deepen key relationships, and drive further adoption of our range of equity trading mechanisms — bringing meaningful benefits to investors and the broader industry.â€
