Hazeltree has appointed the companys executive chairman, Remy W. Trafelet, as chairman, president, and CEO, along with two additional senior leadership appointments.
Trafelet will succeed Lokesh Seth, marking the next phase of the company's growth, expanding its treasury management, as well as its networked data and AI capabilities for alternative asset managers.
Trafelet founded Hazeltree within his alternative asset management firm, Trafelet Delta Funds, prior to spinning the company out in 2011.
He returned to the role of executive chairman in late 2024, renewing strategic focus on Hazeltree's treasury value proposition and data networking solutions.
Prior to this, Trafelet served as managing partner at global hedge fund Trafelet Delta Funds and private investment firm Trafelet & Company, alongside a tenure as senior advisor to the US Department of the Interior.
Alongside this appointment, Hazeltree has selected Jessica Segarra as the firms chief operating officer and Martin Koopman as chief product officer.
Segarra previously served as the global head of operations at Schoenfeld Strategic Advisors Management and as deputy head of operations at Balyasny Asset Management.
Koopman operated as chief product officer and co-head of AI at Broadridge, and before that as Broadridges head of strategy and product innovation.
Commenting on the appointments, Trafelet says: These accomplished executives further enhance Hazeltrees leadership ranks.
As a former Hazeltree client and alternative asset management executive, Jessica brings significant value to Hazeltrees existing client base and internal operations.
Martins extensive product development leadership and AI expertise will continue to enhance Hazeltrees value proposition and performance for its hedge fund and private equity clients.
