Barclays has appointed Jim Hraska as global head of fixed income prime brokerage.

Based in New York, Hraska rejoins the firm, reporting to Geoff Allen, global head of prime derivatives services.

Hraska brings over 35 years of financial experience to the role, having previously served at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC).

During his 10 years with the firm, he took on a number of senior roles, including managing director for consulting services, head of client solutions, and head of product development at DTCC’s Fixed Income Clearing Corporation.

Prior to that, Hraska spent over eight years at Barclays, holding roles as global director of secured financing product management, as well as for financing, equity derivatives, and prime brokerage operations.

Before he joined Barclays, Hraska spent 15 years at Lehman Brothers as senior vice president of financing, equity derivatives, and structured product operations.
