Marex hires Cheeseman

Marex has appointed Robert Cheeseman as head of prime services Asia.
Based in Hong Kong, Cheeseman brings more than 25 years of experience across listed derivatives, prime services, and electronic trading, with a long track record in APAC markets.
At Marex, Cheeseman will oversee the firm's prime services business in Asia, working with global and regional co鈥慼eads to support hedge funds, asset managers, family offices, and institutional clients across prime brokerage and outsourced trading.
He previously served as managing director and co鈥慼ead of client development at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX).
Before joining HKEX, he spent almost four years at Credit Suisse as managing director and head of APAC prime derivatives services, overseeing teams across Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and Mumbai.
Earlier in his career, Rob was head of APAC cross鈥慳sset listed derivatives execution at Morgan Stanley, and spent almost a decade at Goldman Sachs in electronic trading in London and listed derivatives sales and trading in Hong Kong.
