BNY Mellon names Sakati head of strategy and business development

BNY Mellon has appointed Dean Sakati to the newly created position of head of strategy and business development for securities finance with the firm鈥檚 Global Collateral Services business.
Sakati will be based in Boston and report to Mike McAuley, managing director of product and strategy for securities finance.
Sakati joins BNY Mellon from AXOPA, where he was one of the founders of a buy-side focused company that brings together leading financial trading technologies to help clients through the investment management process.
Nadine Chakar, executive vice president and head of product development and strategy for BNY Mellon鈥檚 Global Collateral Services business, said: 鈥淪akati brings a wealth of experience in developing and implementing organic business strategies, forming business partnerships and making strategic acquisitions.鈥�
