The International Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Lending Association (ISLA) Americas has welcomed Jane Wagner to the organisation as a technical expert.

In her new role, Wagner will be responsible for helping to drive ISLA Americas’ advocacy efforts, liaising with regulators, central banks, exchanges, and other stakeholders to promote the recognition of the securities lending market and the views of the association’s members.

Wagner will also provide analysis of regulatory, legal, operational, and counterparty issues from across the region, in addition to overseeing working groups and the publication of thought leadership.

Prior to joining ISLA Americas, Wagner held an 11-year tenure at Vanguard, during which she served as global head of the Vanguard securities lending programme, responsible for all trading, operations, and risk management functions.

Before her role at Vanguard, she held positions at a number of firms, including BlackRock, Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Citibank, and ING.

Throughout her career, Wagner has been involved with ISLA, having been a member of the Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Lending Executive Council, and championing the Women's Initiative for Leadership Success at Vanguard.

Commenting on the appointment, ISLA Americas CEO and president, Fran Garritt, states: “Jane’s appointment is a significant milestone for the association as we look to increase our capabilities and presence across the region.

“Jane brings an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience which will be vital as we look to address key regulations and developments facing the sector in 2026 and beyond.â€
