Women in Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Finance (WISF) has welcomed Anita Hill Sands as co-lead of the organisation’s virtual chapter, where she will work alongside co-lead Erika Flemming.
Based in New York, Hill Sands is the founder and managing partner of Intuition Financial Placement, a boutique executive search firm specialising in financial services.
As a former Wall Street trading executive with more than 22 years of front-office experience, Hill Sands brings deep market intelligence, global relationships, and product expertise to every search engagement.
Prior to launching her firm, Hill Sands held senior roles across securities lending, repo, delta one trading, and equity finance.
She began her career at Merrill Lynch, where she opened the firm’s securities lending office in Tokyo, traded corporate bonds on the New York repo desk, and helped build the equity swaps business.
After 15 years at Merrill, she joined Bear Stearns before launching and building the equity finance desk for the broker-dealer arm of Crédit Industriel et Commercial in New York, where she assembled and led her own team.
In an online statement, WISF states: “Anita's extensive and broad range of experience in the financial services sector is a great compliment to Erika's passion for educating market entrants about securities finance — together they have grand plans.â€
Hill Sands succeeds Lori Paris, who has stepped down from her role in connection with her new position as senior relationship manager, Global Family & Private Investment Offices at Northern Trust.
During her time with WISF, Paris helped launch the organisation’s Chicago chapter while navigating the growth of the virtual chapter.
