J.P. Morgan has promoted Diane MacFarlane to global head of Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Services Sales following Keith Slattery’s decision to retire from the role later this year.
Based in London, MacFarlane will report to Scott Hamilton and Claudia Jury, global co-heads of sales and research.
MacFarlane has led Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Services in EMEA and Depositary Services for the past five years, representing the business on the EMEA management committee.
She has more than 25 years of experience at J.P. Morgan, and brings a wealth of industry expertise, deep knowledge of the client base, and a track record that will help continue the firm’s growth momentum.
MacFarlane will join the sales and research management team, while remaining on the Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Services management team.
Slattery joined the firm in 2014 and has played an important role in growing securities services within the company.
Over the past four years of leading the sales team, he leveraged his experience in operations, product, and client service to drive unprecedented growth, obtaining business from the largest global asset managers, and contributing to six consecutive years of increased revenue.
He will remain at J.P. Morgan as an advisor to Tim Fitzgerald, global head of Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Services and the Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Services management team.
Due to these structural changes, Hannah Elson will be expanding her responsibilities to lead EMEA Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Services and Depositary Services, in addition to her current role as global head of custody.
Building on a 28-year tenure at J.P. Morgan, she will also represent Íø±¬³Ô¹Ï Services as a member of the EMEA Management Committee.
