GLMX has released its platform activity performance for the second quarter of 2026.
According to the report, the average daily volume of securities finance transactions traded on the GLMX platform was up 24 per cent year-on-year (YoY) to US$1.74 trillion.
For the average daily balance of new and existing trades on the platform, the firm reports a 28 per cent YoY rise to US$4.82 trillion for Q2.
GLMX saw a strong adoption in securities lending with a total executed notional volume of US$1.2 trillion, across a list of lenders, prime brokers, and borrowers in North America, Europe, and Asia.
For the first time, the majority of the trades in this quarter were against equities.
Commenting on the performance, Glenn Havlicek, CEO of GLMX, states: “The volatile geopolitical backdrop of the second quarter tested our thesis of convergence in the broader financing market.
“GLMX’s results reinforce our fundamental belief in that convergence and in the ability of our
technology to help our clients scale with confidence.
“In particular, we have seen significant growth in our securities lending offering and look forward to continued investment in that rapidly evolving space.â€
